Step 2 — Allow the Required Browser Permissions

Your browser asks for camera and microphone access before any browser video chat can connect. Say yes once and it remembers you.

For video chat, allow:

• microphone access.

For audio chat, allow:

• microphone access.

Text chat needs neither — you can start typing right away.

Hit "block" by accident? Click the permission icon near the address bar and switch it back on.

Not feeling it? Hit Next. The current match ends, a fresh search begins — that is exactly what the button is for.

Use Next when:

• you want a different topic;
• the other person does not respond;
• language makes the conversation difficult;
• the interaction becomes uncomfortable;
• you simply want to meet someone else.

No explanation owed, no awkward goodbye. You never have to stay in a conversation that is not working.

Sometimes a random chat clicks and you do not want it to end when the match does. That is where private chat comes in — a way to keep talking with someone you have already met, not a place for anonymous first contact.

Private chat can support:

How Message Translation Works

Matched with someone who speaks another language? Chat translation keeps the conversation going in text.

For clearer results:

Do not want to see someone again? Block stops them from contacting or appearing to you, subject to the product’s implementation.

Report

See someone breaking the rules? Report the user with accurate details so moderation can understand what happened.

Leave

Feel pressured or unsafe? Close the conversation immediately. You owe nobody an exit speech.

Skim the Safety Center once before your first chat, so blocking and reporting feel familiar if you ever need them.

Device and Connection Requirements

A good chat starts before you match. Randomegle works best when your device has:

• a current compatible browser;
• functioning camera and microphone for video;
• microphone access for audio;
• a stable internet connection;
• enough light for the camera;
• no other application exclusively using the camera.
